At what size does a stream become a river?

Does a cliff need to be at a 90 degree angle or is like a 50 degree angle a cliff? What about 45 degrees?

Not a geography question but similar, at what size does a boat become a ship?

I've tried to google these questions but there doesn't seem to be a definite answer.

Ya know, this is one of the reasons I'm an atheist. I wonder about goofy stuff all the time.

RE: Geography questions?
Australia is both an island or islands, and a continent. It's HUGE! 7.692 million kmĀ².

The highest mountain in Australia is Mount Kosciuszko, 7,310 ft.

Australia is basically a flat desert. I know this having travelled all over it!

Australia like New Zealand shares no borders with other nations. New Zealand is much smaller and does not qualify as a continent.

I will call him a liar and a dog here and now.

If it were up to me ...

I'd say 1000 meters because it's a nice round number and I like the metric system.

If it's smaller than Australia it's an island.

Yes. Australia.

When you can't wade across it, it's a river.

If it's certain death to fall off of it, it's a cliff.

If it costs more than I can afford, it's a ship.
