epronovost: yes the Arge / jobcenter are great that they will push you into jobs that you are either unqualified for or cannot do them for health reasons (happend to me). Or they do the 1-euro jobs where you get to work fulltime in your profession but you get a euro per hour as pay and over all not more than 100 euro that you may keep on top of your unemployment money. So yea in theory they have a great system in place but in practice it just doesn't work.

Hey Dessee, what's with the passive aggression? Relax, will you.
<removed my big chunk of text>
I first answered you point by point but actually I decided to not have a discussion with you as long as you are in this aggressive mind set. It's bad for my blood pressure and my Sunday-happiness good mood.

cheers

There's always the old Soviet-era solution to refugees....

Barbed wire, guard dogs and landmines...................

Of course, back then the refugees were going in the opposite direction -- but the solution still works.........

Those aren't the only two choices, but yes, I would rather live as a foreigner in a country like that.

Just to give you one of many examples: The article mentions that a significant amount of money is going to be spent to help these foreigners find work in Germany. Why isn't that same money being spent on helping unemployed Germans find work?

You're assuming that is the case... Is it?

I'm not assuming anything. The article says that the money is being spent on social programs for refugees specifically.

Vos, if the government isn't doing what the people want, why do they vote for them?

Some people vote for a person cause they promised one thing, but are doing another.

In addition to Metazoa Zeke's point, who said that the government isn't doing what the people want? I certainly didn't.

I was referring to your answer to Deesse23's post. It sounded like you were saying that nothing is being done for the Germans.

But even if that was not the case, I don't see anything wrong in helping people in need, if Germany has the means to do it.

Yup, I wuz wrong. Back to your regular programming. My point I was trying to make though, was... if people in Germany do have a major problem with how their current government handles this, then they'll be voted out. So it's not like the country's totally broken and you can't go back.
