There are also criminals who are citizens. If all you're concerned with is criminals, why launch this crusade against immigrants?

Quite.

The trick, and the thing that people like Alla never seem to notice, is that other countries owe quite a bit to the United States as well. Global economics are strange and complex things.

That is probably why Alla doesn't seem to grasp them.

Low Information People (like alla) and the people that want to control them (like Fox News and the Republican Party) like to insist that National Finances work like personal finances when in fact they are much closer to Mega Corporations in that Debt is not a bad thing. In fact debt is a good thing most of the time, you use debt to facilitate growth, the only problem is when you have runaway debt or bad bookkeeping like we did under G.W. Bush, 2 wars on the credit cards and then did not add them to the Budget. Investing in citizens or infrastructure is a good debt because both increase revenue long term. Socialism is much more sound financially than anything Trump is proposing (see Jeb Bush's take down of his laughably incompetent immigration plan) investing in say a national healthcare system will be paid back many times over by having more productive citizens who don't need to rob banks to pay for medical care.

RE: Get out of my country
Here's what Bernie Sanders said about what you think of as Soviet-style socialism:

Asked on ABC's "This Week" on May 3 about whether Americans were ready to elect a socialist, Sanders replied:

Well, so long as we know what democratic socialism is. And if we know that in countries, in Scandinavia, like Denmark, Norway, Sweden, they are very democratic countries, obviously. The voter turnout is a lot higher than it is in the United States.

In those countries, health care is the right of all people. And in those countries, college education, graduate school is free. In those countries, retirement benefits, childcare are stronger than in the United States of America. And in those countries, by and large, government works for ordinary people and the middle class, rather than, as is the case right now in our country, for the billionaire class.

In a recent interview with The Nation magazine, Sanders said he didn't think the Scandinavian countries have gotten enough recognition for their "extraordinary achievements." He added:

"The Danish ambassador, whom I talked to a couple of years ago, said to me that in Denmark it is very, very hard to be poor; you really have to literally want to be outside of the system. Well, that's pretty good. In Denmark, all of their kids can go to college; not only do they go for free, they actually get stipends. Healthcare is, of course, a right for all people. They have a very strong childcare system, which to me is very important. Their retirement system is very strong. They are very active in trying to protect their environment."

And the "liberal" media (somehow liberal despite being owned by billionaires who own international megacorporations) don't report most of what Sanders says, while every word Trump says gets trumpeted. For instance, this is a parking garage where people filled the railings because there wasn't enough room to see him when he spoke in Nevada:

Not picked up on any major news outlet.

Ah, Videodrome.

No, I think they're pre-programmed by religion, and Fox has just gotten very, very good at exploiting that for political gain (and financial gain).

I'm just hoping this trend continues quickly enough:

that is what all socialists(big government people) want. Dems = Socialists= big government people. But even if they don't want they do all they can that more people are hooked on welfare.
Do you remember what idiot Pelosi said about "job lock"?
(28-08-2015 04:33 PM)GirlyMan Wrote:  And what makes you think eliminating the debt would give more people good jobs?
I didn't say this. I said that to pull country in big debt is unpatriotic and irresponsible(words of Obama). I sais that hen you wrecked your credit card and have big debt you can't help poor by borrowing more money.
Every person who understands common sense understands this.
First we have to help our poor - those who are citizens and legal immigrants.
