Why the fuck didn't god design me to produce them naturally?

What a cunt!
"You may say anything about Me, but you cannot be saved if you reject the promptings of the Spirit for you to trust me..." - Jesus

I didn't mention Jesus. I wrote 'god'.

I have no comprehension of the term 'saved' in this context.

Does not compute.

Huh, and here I thought we had common ground, since most freethinkers are liberals who love alternative medicine.

If you don't understand "Stop smoking, eat apples in the morning and have regular bowel movements" is better than "take Pill X from pill-pushing physician Y" then a Google search won't help you!

Alternative medicine is wonderful when it works. There are some good things out there for the little ailments... headaches, sunburn, poopin', insomnia, mild depression, etc. What is the natural remedy for blindness? A burst appendix? Dementia? A blood infection from a wound? Pneumonia? Bone cancer? Diabetes?

God can't even beat his own diseases.

If Jesus died for our sins, why is there still sin? If man was created from dust, why is there still dust? If Americans came from Europe, why are there still Europeans?

I don't get what you're trying to say.

Are you saying that natural remedies are proof of God because of their healing benefits?

If so, what about all the plants that can kill us with just a little nibble?

Nice, I love Tim Minchin! This bit is also a display of his lyrical mastery (song starts around 5:30) and discusses the success of prayer:

If Jesus died for our sins, why is there still sin? If man was created from dust, why is there still dust? If Americans came from Europe, why are there still Europeans?

RE: Go ahead, shred my homily for today
In addition to the near-total lack of medical advice in the Bible, we also find the following:

1. Mark 8:22-26. Jesus spits into a blind man's eyes
2. John 9:1-7. Jesus makes clay out of his spit and dust and anoints another blind man's eyes with it
3. Mark 7:31-37. Jesus spits into a deaf-mute's mouth
4. Luke 11:38 and Matthew 15:2. Jesus and his disciples do not wash their hands before a meal, and this in a time before toilet paper
5. Ezekiel 4:12,15. God advises Ezekiel to bake a barley cake over human excrement and eat it as a sign against Israel. He has to be talked out of this plan by Ezekiel and agrees to let Ezekiel use cow dung instead.

I shudder to think what Bible literalists do with verses like these today. Where are these vaunted laws of hygiene that PleaseJesus says that we are ignorant of?

Anjele,
The Catholic Church has beaten you to the punch. Their products are called "relics".
