They have FREE health care unlike our totally screwed up system. Starvation is unheard of in Cuba. Homelessness is also unheard of too. Yet they find no internet. Poor babies.
Well the article I ran across was about Cuba. Not about other countries. Everyone in the US has access to health care. And starvation and homelessness isn't exactly a huge issue in the US. Sure, some people are homeless but what, like .01% of the population? And hungry people get food stamps. I'm a little confused by you though. Are you justifying nationwide censorship based on the fact that people don't starve to death in Cuba? Why does the government feel like it needs to outlaw this?

Hint- It has to do with power and oppression.
If you are homeless you cant get food stamps. Have you ever been to a Native American nation? What kind of bubble do you live in? And who am I to tell a nation how to run it's self. If the people want it bad enough they will make their voices heard. That's the problem with Americans, we think everyone should do as we do. It is becoming more open every day. I am sure in time they will have the internet. It's foolish to think no one has it anyway. You can get it but it is regulated. I may not agree with that but i am not in control. If you don't think our Government watches everything you post or write on this net you too are blind. Haven't you heard the law NDAA. big brother is listening and they can use the same power and oppression here. Your picking on one thing you don't like. I can find lots of things here that suck.

There isn't a place on earth that doesn't have things that suck.

It's a matter of degree.

But there is clearly a difference between nations with people risking their lives to get out of it and one that people risk their lives to get into. The US has an immigration problem for a reason. I think it'd be difficult to find a random foreigner that would rather live in Cuba than the US.

Socialism is a wonderful idea... And it would be even more wonderful if it worked.

I have to assume that you only claim that to garnish attention. No sane person would rather live in Cuba unless they were Hispanic or Latino and the deciding factor was language and/or culture. But even then, there are plenty of places in the US with heavy Hispanic culture and lots of Spanish speaking.

RE: Go figure. People just don't like communism.
Truth be told, yes the Cuban government could have taken a different path but our (the US) propaganda and bogus laws has made their country much much worse. To deny part of the responsibility for Cuba's status would be arrogant. NoA is correct about one thing, we still trade(d) with communist countries only because we had an agenda and of course due to fear of war with them.

Think about it logically and keep bias at bay.

Feel free to assume away, but by far the deciding factor would be health care in my case. There health care is fantasic, america's not so much. Not sure if your trying to equate mental illness with being hispanic or not, but I'll leave off on making any such assumptions, but one cheap shot deserves another.

Now if you'll excuse me I need to take my meds.
