God Told Josh Hamilton About Homer
God cares about baseball, guys.

After praying with God into extra innings at last night’s game, Texas Ranger Josh Hamilton had his “most relaxed, peaceful at-bat” and slammed a two-run home run, just as God told him he would.

Too bad, for Rangers fans, Hamilton’s homer that gave them the lead in the 10th wasn’t enough to win the game. The St. Louis Cardinals came back to win 10-9.

“(God) said, you haven’t hit one in a while and this is the time you’re going to,” Hamilton said in a post by the Dallas Morning News’ SportsDay. “But there was a period at the end of that. He didn’t say, you’re going to hit it and you’re going to win.”’

It’s not a surprise to hear that from Hamilton, an evangelical Christian who has shared his testimony though the MLB and chooses Christian music for his at-bat songs.

The outfielder cites his relationship with God and the church as the reason he was able to end his drug addiction and eventually even give up chewing tobacco, a favorite vice of baseball players.

The blue-and-red-clad fans will be praying that God gives Hamilton and the Rangers a win tonight, the final game in the World Series.

Still another reason to root for St. Louis tonight. (Although I imagine they have their religious crazies too.)

But #6 was an AMAZING game!

Religious disputes are like arguments in a madhouse over which inmate really is Napoleon.

RE: God Told Josh Hamilton About Homer
For you baseball fans, remember back in July when god had Hamilton throw that ball to a fan in the stands, he threw it a little short, the guy reached for it, flipped over the wall, and fell 20' to his death, all right in front of his 7 year old son?

That god, he's a funny guy.

When ignorance reigns, life is lost
