Nope, it's TV's Hercules (Kevin Sorbo) pretending to be a Straw-Man, itself pretending to be a representation of every liberal university professor in the country; all in an effort to convince the majority that they're being oppressed/under attack in a massive philosophical/scientific conspiracy to take away their god.

So basically, about as factually accurate as the Passion of the Christ... Dodgy

Yeah the crux of the story is the professor telling the students god is dead, and when one student balks at this, he is given an ultimatum to prove god exists or drop/fail the class. Guess who wins? Dodgy

Also, one of those Duck Dynasty fucktards makes a cameo.

RE: God is Not Dead movie
I think we should all host a skype session one day where we all watch and gawk at this film. Shitty Movie Saturday!

“You see… sometimes life gives you lemons. And when that happens… you need to find some spell that makes lemons explode, because lemons are terrible. I only ate them once and I can say with certainty they are the worst fruit. If life gave me lemons, I would view it as nothing short of a declaration of war."

RE: God is Not Dead movie
The imdb message board of this movie is a mess, atheists saying this movie is the most offensive shit since the crusades and christians saying this is the bestest movie ever because it accurately portrays real life. (figuratively speaking)

This review is pretty neutral, it's an atheist and a christian guy talking about it.

"WHY DO YOU HATE GOD?" -Student.
Movie Logic Atheist Professor - Looks like he's crying or some crap.
Real Atheist Professor - *Pimpslap* "I don't freaking believe in god, but I may hate the idea of it, but I don't hate it."

RE: God is Not Dead movie
I found this comment below one of the reviews of this movie:

Quote:A liberal muslim homosexual ACLU lawyer professor and abortion doctor was teaching a class on Karl Marx, known atheist.

”Before the class begins, you must get on your knees and worship Marx and accept that he was the most highly-evolved being the world has ever known, even greater than Jesus Christ!”

At this moment, a brave, patriotic, pro-life Navy SEAL champion who had served 1500 tours of duty and understood the necessity of war and fully supported all military decision made by the United States stood up and held up a rock.

”How old is this rock, pinhead?”

The arrogant professor smirked quite Jewishly and smugly replied “4.6 billion years, you stupid Christian”

”Wrong. It’s been 5,000 years since God created it. If it was 4.6 billion years old and evolution, as you say, is real… then it should be an animal now”

The professor was visibly shaken, and dropped his chalk and copy of Origin of the Species. He stormed out of the room crying those liberal crocodile tears. The same tears liberals cry for the “poor” (who today live in such luxury that most own refrigerators) when they jealously try to claw justly earned wealth from the deserving job creators. There is no doubt that at this point our professor wished he had pulled himself up by his bootstraps and become more than a sophist liberal professor. He wished so much that he had a gun to shoot himself from embarrassment, but he himself had petitioned against them!

The students applauded and all registered Republican that day and accepted Jesus as their lord and savior. An eagle named “Small Government” flew into the room and perched atop the American Flag and shed a tear on the chalk. The pledge of allegiance was read several times, and God himself showed up and enacted a flat tax rate across the country.

The professor lost his tenure and was fired the next day. He died of the gay plague AIDS and was tossed into the lake of fire for all eternity.

I love satire. Big Grin

RE: God is Not Dead movie
This shit apparently stinks.
But the audience liked it.
See?

Also, has anyone seen the HUGE GAPING PLOT HOLE in "Noah".
So, in the trailer, it shows an army trying to get onto the ark. Here's the plot hole though: If they had arranged a huge army of people, why not make a boat themselves? (Or maybe Iron Chariots.)
My mother, who I had probably converted down to a deist, said this: "Well, he probably was the only one who knew how to build a boat."
I then looked back at her and said: "Have you even heard of Mesopotamian river valleys and city states?"
I then explained to her what a "Mesopotamian city state" was and she agreed with me. (As in, not the "ugh you've argued me to death" way" she really agreed with me without any reluctance.)
Also this one idiot gave this film a ten star rating:
1 out of 2 people found the following review useful:

Great Christian Film
10/10

I won't discuss the polemics of the film, other than to say that if you are an atheist you will probably dislike it and if you are a Christian you will probably love it. Unlike many Christian films, this film is extremely well acted, written and produced. Kevin Sorbo gives a performance that is gut-wrenching and convincing to the end. The other actors demonstrate skill in the acting art. The message centers around a professor who attacks faith (specifically, Christianity) in a way that is common at college campuses throughout America. One student stands up to him and is challenged to defend his position, which he does quite well. Other subplots deal with related characters dealing with personal crises. All of the scenes are handled subtly and skillfully. Overall, the film is thought provoking, powerful and still quite entertaining.
