RE: God's Not Dead
It only just clicked that the professor is Hercules. Zeus's Not Dead!

RE: God's Not Dead
I liked Sorbo better when he was God of War's Hercules. I can handle a fan of Zeus being a Christian, but when I found that Kratos's voice may also be a Christian, that definitely brings in some conundrums.

RE: God's Not Dead
I realize I'm reviving a dead thread here, but I spent some time making a video response to this movie so I thought I'd share it here.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgGAjsXBwY4

It's the first atheism video I've made, so don't expect too much.

I like dusty smiths representation of the movie best.

Atheist teacher is a poor argementor, but what do you expect when Christians make the movie lol.

We should make a atheist movie like this one...only more realistic.

Also, I can argue the fact that we CAN hate a fictional character!

It does not matter if god exists, I HATE him. I hate him as much as I do Naraku from Inuyasha and many other characters I hate.

My Youtube channel if anyone is interested.

I saw that video, too, and when he summarized the end of the "argument" I was pretty surprised and wondering if that was what they seriously went with. I was really hoping he just randomly picked one of their arguments and stuck it in there, cause that's always been one of the most moronic ones, as far as I'm concerned.

Then again, that would explain why this did so well at the box office, and on user rated rankings: if they've never heard of hating a fictional character, Christians must have never seen any other movies. Or shows. Or books.

RE: God's Not Dead
I just saw it last night. Its a very sickening, unfair movie. I love how Christians like to talk about how honest and trust worthy they are, yet they can't even make an intellectually honest movie. In the class, he was the only person who claimed to be a Christian while all the others were more than happy to write Gods Dead and sign it. In real life, its the Atheists who are badly outnumbered, not the Christians.

I also thought the portrayal of Islam was disgusting. The Muslim girl hated being a Muslim and in fact desperately wanted to be a Christian. She was only acting as a Muslim because her fathered forced it upon her. When he finds out that she is listening to Bible scripture, he beats her badly and throws her out of the house.

The whole movie was just a fking disgusting bunch of dishonest BS pandering to the "poor us" Christian crowd.

I love how there are so many Christian movies coming out right now ( Gods not dead, heaven is for real, the exodus, etc. ), but we had one movie showing our side ( religilous by bill maher ) and it was banned from even being played in a lot of places. So how in the world they think they are the ones who don't get a fair shake is beyond me.

It looks like an awful movie, even for believers.

Christians will do anything to make a buck.
If you get a chance Google christian porn.
There is a former female porn star who is or has created a company just for porn stars who are also christian.
WWJD - he would do porn.
Of course.

Insanity - doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results

WOW with the storyline about the Muslim girl! Blink I knew the movie was bad, didn't know it was that bad!

I hope that the world turns, and things get better. But what I hope most of all is that you understand what I mean when I tell you that, even though I do not know you, and even though I may never meet you, laugh with you, cry with you, or kiss you, I love you. With all my heart, I love you. - V for Vendetta

RE: God's Not Dead
I'm kind of curious how often Muslim to Christian conversions happen in real life to begin with, and vice versa, since I'm getting a distinct "Look, even people from other religions know we're right!" vibe.

Anyone know?

Popcorn I put more thought into fiction than theists put into reality.
