RE: God the absolute truth
After reading this thread i feel like I've lost brain cells only to have them restored by some people then they blow up again upon another Janus posting.

Seriously Janus if you can't comprehend that maybe life doesn't need a goal or a point then you have a total failure of experimental thinking.

Maybe and I'm just throwing this out there. Life has no definitive purpose but what we make for our own. Maybe life is worth living for the sake of the joys of being alive.

Think my friend Godless,

3,500,000,000 years of evolution to find out: life doesn't need a goal

I invite you to think in the entire universe and find the absolute truth.

Are we humans the last step on the evolution?

Are we humans as ants to the last step of evolution?

Evolution is a mindless algorithmic process. No goal, no direction, no intentionality.

No, evolution continues.

We don't know. The products of evolution are not predictable in that way.

It seems you have some hang up with thinking of consciousness as a grant step in evolution. Evolution doesn't work in steps or phases in that way you perceive.

It's been 3,500,000,000 in this finding out for US humans.. That says nothing on what could be and it's only that seemingly long framework of time as we see from our little perspective on what we know.

If there was some life form that developed consciousness to analysis the universe 10,000 years after the start of the universe, would that change anything? No, just the perspective of that species.

Hey! What about everyone outside of the US? We've evolved too!

Please mention something that you consider that has goal.

It is simple ClydeLee, Think in the first unicellular being it has two choices to eat, one material help him to live the another one kill him. To take a decision between one or another is a consciousness step.

If you do not see this example as a consciousness step, please mention when do you see consciousness begun in the evolution chain:

unicellular organisms -------------Multicellular organisms --------- animals --------humans
