Going to see Les Miserable in a few hours.
Very excited. I've loved the play for a long time and the music is some of the best to come out of musical theatre. It will be neat to see what they do with it.

My expectations were high and they were met. Take a hanky.
Try not to sing along as it will annoy the people around you. The PURPOSE of life is to pass on our DNA (from Darwin) The MEANING of life is the experience of living (from Frank Herbert) The VALUE of life is the legacy we leave behind (from observation) |

I had to walk out near the end. I liked the movie. I like musicals. Love the actors and acting. I just could not take such a long musical! LOL. So I had to leave.

I still can't get the music out of my head, I saw it a few weeks ago.

I don't generally like musicals. Never have, never will. I saw this with my ex whom I also don't generally like.
Despite that, I liked the movie. A lot. Enough that I will definitely buy it on blu-ray when it's out. "Whores perform the same function as priests, but far more thoroughly." - Robert A. Heinlein |

Yeah. I cried like a baby. (thanks for the warning DLJ)
That being said. The singing was pretty good. Most of it was a little above average...except Russell Crowe....It was kind of like listening to a bad karaoke performance “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” A.A. Milne |

Isn't there more than one Miserable ?
Les Miserables is plural.
