Saying "I don't know" is a strength of secularism. The people who are the most full of shit claim to know everything. You know, kind of like religion.

Some views seem to express that nothing can be really known till science proves it.
What if, existentially, there is a universal ethic, for some reason beyond the scientific method, and we are part of that phenomenon? There is no need to prove this to contemplate it.

Conversely religion goes too far by trying to enforce their speculative considerations upon a scientific world.
