RE: Grammatically Speaking: for all my grammar nazi's
I got a 94%, because I failed the "who/whom" page. Yet their explanation:
Quote: There’s a trick to help you remember: If you can answer with ‘he’, use ‘who’ (e.g. ‘he ate all the doughnuts’). If you can answer with ‘him’ use ‘whom’ (e.g. ‘I saw him at the bar’). Just remember that ‘him’ and ‘whom’ both end in the letter m.
was consistent with my answers. I call shenanigans.

100%, but a lot of the questions weren't actually about grammar. So there's that.

Which questions weren't about grammar?

Which questions weren't about grammar?

Spelling and other matters orthographical (eg punctuation) aren't really grammar per se.

I've already forgotten the particulars of the questions, but the one I do remember standing out is whether/weather, a mere exercise in homophones, and if one were very pedantic the 's/s' for plural possessives might be considered more strictly form than content.

Whereas it's cases such as, well, case (differentiating objective and subjective, ie 'me' and 'I') and parts of speech (differentiating noun and verb, ie 'affect' and 'effect') that are truly grammatical concerns.

84%, I was hoping for a higher score.
