RE: Great placenames
This isn't a town or city, but when I was in St. Paul MN I drove by a convenience store/gas station with the name "pump & munch". Hilarious!

“Truth does not demand belief. Scientists do not join hands every Sunday, singing, yes, gravity is real! I will have faith! I will be strong! I believe in my heart that what goes up, up, up, must come down, down, down. Amen! If they did, we would think they were pretty insecure about it.”

There is a town near Caddo Lake in east Texas named Uncertain. I've been there I think.

Here in Aus we have Mt Disappointment.

The people closely associated with the namesake of female canines are suffering from a nondescript form of lunacy.

I did once see a road called "Felch Avenue" (look it up).

Can't say I ever went up that alley....

My son played ball in Little League in a tiny little town named North, South Carolina.

I have never figured out what it was north of. It is nowhere near the northern part of the state.

There is also a town called Due West, South Carolina - not sure what it's due west of.

Kind of like here in TX - west TX is a region of TX but there is also a town named West, TX that isn't in west Texas.
