RE: Great quotes
"We have no compassion and we ask no compassion from you." -Karl Marx

(This is perhaps one of my favorite of Marx's quotes, and one that still rings true to me after abandoning Marxism in favor of free-market socialism.)

Paleoliberal • English Nationalist • Zionist • Rightist • Anti-Islam • Neoconservative • Republican • Linguistic Revivalist and Purist

RE: Great quotes
I see that Ingersoll was already quoted on this thread. I'm now reading Some Mistakes of Moses by Ingersoll, about every other sentence in that book is a great quote.

This was on page 33-
The liberty of man is not safe in the hands of any church.
Wherever the Bible and sword are in partnership, man is a slave.

Gods derive their power from post-hoc rationalizations. -The Inquisition

Using the supernatural to explain events in your life is a failure of the intellect to comprehend the world around you. -The Inquisition

"We have been misled in this matter by two causes. One is the necessity of keeping the poor contented, which has led the rich, for thousands of years, to preach the dignity of labor, while taking care themselves to remain undignified in this respect."

-Bertrand Russell from his essay In Praise of Idleness
