RE: Greetings
Welcome to the forum.

---
Flesh and blood of a dead star, slain in the apocalypse of supernova, resurrected by four billion years of continuous autocatalytic reaction and crowned with the emergent property of sentience in the dream that the universe might one day understand itself.

Hello there.

Shit. Now I'm always going to think of him as "Chiapet."

Atheism is NOT a Religion. It's A Personal Relationship With Reality!

RE: Greetings
Warmest welcome, deerseed. Smile

I'm a newbie to the forum too, but a long time atheist, and you've chosen a really nice place to come and discuss the changes in your life and thinking.

It's important, especially with a christian spouse, to remember and to explain that belief is not a choice. When your rational thoughts conflict with unproven and unprovable faith, you cannot simply ignore them and choose to believe anyway. Demonstrable evidence is how we find sustainable truth. Real logic and science are the paths.

There are support threads in the forum which may give you some valuable pointers on your journey to lasting freedom of thought.

We're very glad to have you here.
