Greetings!
Hello!

I'm Wayne and I can no longer support the existance of a deity of any sort, or proportion. I think that religon has caused a vast amount of problems (you know wars, poverty, and such.) Finally, I think that if the world thought more with thier head and not thier holy books the world would be a better place...

Okay enough with the standard party lines.. I have trouble believing in a god for a number of reasons both the standard scientific and personal. Since almost any athiest can spout of the scientific reasoning. Here is my personal one, I have a medical condition called Cerebral Palsy, basically it's a stroke at birth.. I'm 18 and I've had ten surgeries.

If there is a god, then

He could have prevented my cerebral palsy, making me a victim

OR

He isn't merciful.

So basically, by not believing in god, I'm choosing not to be a victim.

Also as to the scientific reasons, I am a Bio-sciences major, and I cannot see any rational way that god and science mixes.

Hello Wayne - psst ... no god, no victim, no blame, no bullshit. Dodgy

I'm glad you are able to see through the crap; good on you!

I think you'll find some good things of interest here and it's all fairly casual. We seem to run the gamut from the very intellectual discussion to laying-in-the-gutter gibberish, so there's something for everyone!! Bio-science sounds pretty groovy, and sounds like you'll fit in here comfortably; always room for another biological entity. Wink

Is there a way to make you happy with the yummy stuff??? First you want the cookies from another thread now you don't want the cookies but rather the cake.... I feel offended, sir.
