Greetings from Georgia!
Hello,

I just joined this forum as an ex-Catholic who dropped religion about a year ago and has never looked back since. Having been raised in the Bible belt, I haven't been able to completely come out yet to everyone (especially certain family members) and often find myself having to hold my tongue or lie about my beliefs just to stay out of trouble. Although most of my friends have been loving and supportive, if not at least tolerant, the fundamentalist Christian school I go to often teaches hatred, intolerance, and distrust towards nonbelievers. It's been isolating, to say the least.

I'm so glad to have found this forum where I can freely exchange ideas and have conversations with other like-minded people. Also hoping to learn as much as I can along the way.

Thanks and have a nice day!

Greetings from Georgia!
Welcome.

The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.

Welcome from the Bible-girdle (NC). I hope you enjoy this forum family as much as I have. I too am not "out" to many family members. Sometimes you just have to choose which battles are not worth waging.

Ask us anything, we're pretty open here.

Where are we going and why am I in this hand basket?

Facepalm Great. You're here for 3 seconds and you've already made the best joke in the history of mankind. I think my work here is done. Bye forever, everyone.

I know, right? How is it we've all overlooked that one all this time?

Kudos to you Newbie!

But as if to knock me down, reality came around
And without so much as a mere touch, cut me into little pieces
