Greetings from the Rural Wasteland
Greeting all,

Fairly new atheist here, living in the a small town that is replete with churches and a general heavy religious bent. So in order to stave off madness and boredom I thought to join a forum of heathens and heretics. Looking forward to having fun and worthwhile conversations on this forum.

Welcome! I feel like we must be neighbors! I hope you like this place as much as I do. It is a lifeline for sure.

Where are we going and why am I in this hand basket?

Greetings, friend.

Atheism is NOT a Religion. It's A Personal Relationship With Reality!

Welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear that you live in nuts-ville. I hope you find us therapeutic.

I was a fairly new atheist once... when I was born Big Grin

I have a website here which discusses the issues and terminology surrounding religion and atheism. It's hopefully user friendly to all.

Welcome.

The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.

Welcome to the forum.

I grew up in a town in Indiana which had around 40,000 people and 60 churches, almost all of them Protestant. Like the cornfields surrounding it, it was monocultural. Everyone was very nice, but I wouldn't go back. The diversity of a big city is much more comfortable to me now. However, even here I need the internet to find a community.
