RE: Griping about the weather thread
Hot. No... not quite. More like ... BOILING FUCKING HOT.

It's that kind of hot where the temperature isn't high enough to burn off the humidity. So ... yes, the air itself is simmering under a full, broiling sun.

It will become somewhat more comfortable when the temperature gets up over 100, burns off the humidity, and the air is hot but dry.

I will refrain from the great outdoors, until I see the red line level with 100, in the little glass tube outside my shady window. Drinking Beverage

A new type of thinking is essential if mankind is to survive and move to higher levels. ~ Albert Einstein

If there is a hell, I think I might already live there

Why would anyone live in such a place? Gasp

Didn't really have much of a choice when I moved here initially, my parents moved here before I was financially independent. Once my best friend finishes school we are moving away from this hell hole of a state. Especially since my job now allows me to work from almost any state.

The drought here on Vancouver Island is getting scary. No rain to speak of for months, and not a drop in the forecast.

So many cats, so few good recipes.

But it’s a dry heat… Wink

Here now. Temp 97 F relative humidity 56%. Heat index 115.4 F.
Supposed to hit 100 tomorrow. Humidity should be about the same. If so the heat index will be 124.8 F.

If your humidity stays at 24% then at 114 F the heat index would be 123.6.
