I'm all for making them uncomfortable if they are causing a fuss. Although I don't think I'd have the balls to do it lol.

RE: Group of Orthodox Jews removed from flight for refusing to sit with women
One day I was waiting at the terminal of some airport (don't remember where). Enter a group of some 50 men and women - men with head gear, women in burkas, children in tow.

The women sat down around me, the men across the isle. The kids stayed with the women. Suddenly I felt this tugging on my hair - a 5 year old or so boy was behind me touching it. His mom told him not to, I smiled and shrugged and nodded at him. Now other kids came running and touched my hair. The men across the isle were aghast. I couldn't know what the women thought because - burkas.

It's one reason I hate burkas and would happily outlaw them - they de-humanize the women, they are non entities devoid of opinion or emotion.

Interfering with a flight crew is not an "offense" over there?

Sing loudly enough that you don’t disturb your fellow passengers, but so that the offending nutter can hear. The more sultry the song the better.

Tell him you’re a nice, married Jewish woman and then play with your hair.

Open your purse and “rearrange” your personal stock of feminine hygiene products.

Tell him you have a Muslim friend who dates a Haradi guy like him.

Tell him you collect child support from some Haradi guy who knocked you up.

You should shop for a new bikini online, in his view. Ask him for his opinion on which suit is most offensive.

Announce that it’s cold in the airplane make a big display of offering to cover him up with an airline blanket. -Actually, just say that Jesus told you that he's cold.

Tell him that you’ve read lots of reports of the “Ultra Orthodox” Jews who hate women and refuse to sit next to them on airplanes. Introduce yourself and offer your hand to shake. Tell him that you just want to be friends and understand each other because Jesus wants all of the Jews to accept him so he can return.

Touch his hand and hiss in his ear that if he doesn’t sit his ass down right now, you’re going to keep tapping him on the hand or accidentally moving your leg to touch his.

If he successfully moves to a new seat or gets you moved, bump into him in the baggage claim and push your boobs up against him.

Make several trips to the restroom and bump your hips against his shoulder if he has an aisle seat. Bonus points if you can drop a clean feminine hygiene product in his view.

I'm hardly an expert but I'm going to guess that most of those would work remarkably well if you were a man. And not just with Haradi. Must remember to pack a tampon in my carry-on from now on. Pity the Evangelist who ends up with me apologizing from behind a month's worth of beard because it's that time of month.

Dog, you're thinking Catholics.

I am not a very good liberal because I think Burkas and Hijab are complete shit and should be outlawed. I don't care if I sound terrible. I think they are so fucking awful in so many ways.

We were at a water park over the summer and a group of women (moms) were covered head to toe in black, including gloves. In 90 degree heat. My daughter thought they were ninjas. I remember looking at the little girls having a blast in their bathing suits and just feeling SO bad for them. They have no idea what's in store for them.

Don't you mean Burkas and Niqab, both are completely enclosing clothing. The Hijab is basically just a shawl you wear on your head. There's quite a big difference between the two.

BTW, I do agree with you sentiment but I am opposed to regulation on women's clothing as much as possible. i have no business telling an adult women what to wear and why in her daily life (and especially enforce it), but I am more than willing to criticise every single fashion choice she makes as long as it remains decent and respectful.

Freedom is servitude to justice and intellectual honesty.

I have a website here which discusses the issues and terminology surrounding religion and atheism. It's hopefully user friendly to all.

Another good reason for Air Marshals. They should have been forced to sit in their seats. Also, if you cannot tolerate woman than they should not have traveled this way. Such disrespect for woman cannot be tolerated. My wife, a few years back changed jobs and took over for the outgoing man in the roll. There was an employee that refused to take her directions seriously as she was a woman due to his religious beliefs. He got put in his place real quick. She made it very clear. I'm your boss and direct supervisor. Follow my instructions to the tee or pack up your desk and get the hell out. Immediately. She never had a problem with this individual again.
