I would prefer to have my Maglite instead, and use that arm as a brace. That way I have a club if needed, as well. After all, there's no guarantee you'll be able to get a clean shot before an intruder closes.

There is if he's in my sights. Wink

Night-sights, to be exact. *Product placement FTW*

My S&W .357 Magnum has a Pachmayr grip, in the chamber I alternate hollow points with teflon coated ammo

RE: Guns!
Get yours today:
http://www.gunsamerica.com/927451864/LIK..._45X39.htm

(note this is an AK 74 which fires a different round than the classic AK 47 / AKM, but has some product improvements and a more reliable trigger design)

E 2 = (mc 2)2 + (pc )2
614C → 714N + e + ̅νe
2 K(s) + 2 H2O(l) → 2 KOH(aq) + H2 (g) + 196 kJ/mol
It works, bitches.

RE: Guns!
I had some good fortune today.

I went to a gun shop to get some ammo. Of course, they had none in either of the 2 calibers I wanted.

However, they had a rifle of the type I have been looking for (AR-platform in 7.62x51), on consignment. The owner was ready to deal.

Great price, Pentax 3x-9x scope, multiple magazines, case, manual.

So now I have another black, evil, scary, 'assault rifle' that I wanted.

I'm looking for an adjustable buttstock. Why a longer handguard?

RE: Guns!
For a hunting rifle, , you can brace agaisnt hardcover for a stable shot easier and in the prone, you might run your front hand off the handgaurd if you have a short tube.

Larue's 762 gun made for hunting.
