This thread has a stated purpose. I agreed with cleaning it, including my own posts.

Those posts were split to a new thread. There was no intent to censor.

Unfortunately, I made a mistake and lost all but the initial derailing thread.

Don't agree? Take it up with the admins. Until I'm told to stop, I will continue to clean this thread.

There ain't no censorship, motherfucker make new thread. Thumbsup

But I prefer the M-14. I think I'm a sniper at heart. They're terse and deadly.Drinking Beverage

As for the grunts, a 10kg load of full magazines for those three weapons is:
M14 14 mags / 280 rds
M16 33 mags / 660 rds
AK-47 8 mags / 240 rds

And the ballistics for the AK are pretty anemic compared to an M14.

I think your magazine estimates are for early AK-47 magazines. In any case it's irrelevant since the AK-47 is obsolete. The modern design is the AK-74, which uses a lighter bullet similar to the 5.56, and lighter steel magazines.

It works, bitches.

Didn't know that. That would give a grunt:
AK-74 18 mags / 540 rds.

RE: Guns!
Sounds about right. Keep in mind, at the time the USSR was using the AK-47 and AKM, the US was using the M1 Garand, M14, and M1 Carbine. The Soviets switched to the AK-74 not long after the US adopted the M16. So both countries were following similar trends.

Hmmm, I think the M16 was a good 10 years ahead of the AK-74.

Guns!
I own no guns but I do enjoy shooting my brother-in-law's guns.

As long as we're here I'd be curious if anyone here has any thoughts on the H&K G11? Or how about the XM25?

The G11 was a good concept ahead of its time. Caseless ammunition still has problems, but I think they can be solved. We'll see if interest revives.

The XM25? That's just an accurized M14 variant. Unless you mean the experimental grenade launcher, in which case no opinion...

I was referring to the grenade launcher, yes.

Making me all jealous, with their guns 'n shit.
I want a gun, they interest me.

Happy shooting guys.

RE: Guns!
This isnt aimed at anyone this is a reminder to everyone.

This is an open forum. you can't state the thread is for one thing only then complain if someone has an opposite opinion. What i've seen here is ridiculous censorship and it is completely unacceptable, it goes against the way things are done here.

If you cant take opposing views then you shouldn't be on a forum. simple as that.

Behold the power of the force!
