Wow, I would definitely think Oregon rather than Utah! Maybe if I head out west I would give it a look. Thanks.

In any case, I know many atheists locally and they're out and vocal about it and none of them have been fired for it (or anything else like drummed up bogus reasons).
We have lots of mountains, and lots of elementary kids. Win-win for you.
Side note: Once you get out of the Salt Lake county and into the more rural Utah towns all bets are off - there it's Mormon way or the highway.
