That has nothing to do with IBSA. Your claim is shown to be false.

Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.

IBSA stands for International Buddhism Sangha Association.

They publish The Treasury.

Ergo, they would pay the reward to the artist.

So, are you going to do another tour soon, Gene? It's been a while.

How can anyone living today have the faintest idea what he really said (or even whether he really existed)? Isn't it the same sort of situation as with Jesus, where nothing was written down until many years later (in my understanding, it was centuries later in the Buddha's case)? I'm not trying to be a smartass here -- this is a legitimate question.

It is. Which is why most of the time I qualify any quote from him as "attributed to.." or some such, and cite the source.

The problem mahayanists and vajryanists (as well as freak-cultists like this idiot) have is that their "scriptures" are known to be later contrivances.
ALL forms of Buddhism take the MN, SN, and the DN as fundamental. Though in practice many, if not most, ignore them.

I've actually seen woo-meisters use that as an argument against information in the Nikayas, but that actually is shooting themselves in the face: If we reject the historicity of the person, we can reject ALL the woo out-of-hand and what is left is the secular, nonsuperstitious teachings and practices that make Budhism interesting in the first place.

What happened to this guy being "perfect"? One would think that a "perfect" person, especially a "perfect" Buddhist ascetic would not be concerned about such vanities.

Facepalm

The International Buddhist Sangha Association wrote a book, a Treasury of True Buddha-Dharma about this man. It's how I was introduced.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vajradhara

This is who Vajradhara is. He is the first Buddha, the formless primordial Buddha.

Master Wan Ko Yeshe Norbu, HH Dorje Chang Buddha III Holiest Tathagata is that Buddha.

And a Dharma king is simply a Bodhisattva living today that is the head of a sect.

"The International Buddhism Sangha Association is an international Buddhist organization. We abide by and respect the teachings of Sakyamuni Buddha. In accordance with the dharma, we observe the five precepts and carry out the four limitless states of mind and the ten good characteristics. We practice the teachings of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III."

The "IBSA" is your Bad Wig Guy's cult. It isn't some global Buddhist "interfaith" organization. Facepalm
