RE: Hands clasped
Another suggestion that hasn't been mentioned. Maybe it's done for the same reason people convulse on the ground, speak in tongues, wear robes and wave candles, put hands towards the air, speak in Old English, and eat crackers.

Theatrics.

Religion is a show and sheep need to be entertained. I mean just look at the Pope's hat.

"Ain't got no last words to say, yellow streak right up my spine. The gun in my mouth was real and the taste blew my mind."

"We see you cry. We turn your head. Then we slap your face. We see you try. We see you fail. Some things never change."

RE: Hands clasped
Let's think about this.
On your knees.
Hands clasped together up around your face.
Priest wearing robes
Altar boys

Yep… I have my suspicions, but I can't prove it.Undecided

I think the large court settlements may give some insight though. Dodgy

I dont know, but I know this, when I was religous...

I dropped to my knees and prayed with my head touching the floor.

Nope. I was a regular baptist.
