Says you. Intermittent fasting.

Yeah, says me. It doesn't fit the definition. It's not fasting, just stupid.

What a foolish, unhealthy thing to do. Consider

You are not supposed to pig out in the evening though, if you do then that's your fault. All you see in TV here is telling you to eat light in the evening, and its OK to pig out at dawn but also make sure pig out on things that won't get you thirsty during the day. It can be healthy if you do it right.

Not consuming any liquids for the entire time of daylight would not be a healthy thing, especially in a desert. Is consumption of just water also restricted during that time?

Happy Ramadan!

My family wasn't into any kind of religious traditions except maybe saying midnight prayers and some holiday stuff. I still celebrate Christmas but it's more of a cultural thing at this point and I can always pretend I'm celebrating the winter solstice or Yule, or whatever those dirty pagans used to do back in the olden days.

Happy Ramadan! Not a religious practice as asked, but do have a Ramadan memory to share. Qualifiers, it's the last day. My friend N. had to fast all week during Ramadan and never mentioned it...until the last day, when our program coordinator brought three bags of Panera for the three of us grad students and she to share. That's when N. doesn't touch it and awkwardly goes, "Uh...I can't. It's Ramadan." Program coordinator was horrified, and the other guy and I ate ours in the hallway so as not to be rude.

Need to think of a witty signature.

I think you must mean it can be less unhealthy. Drinking Beverage

Really? That's going a bit far.

I'd call it courteous. It would be going too far if the person fasting either expected or demanded such deference. It was their choice to fast, and it was his choice to cut the person a break and not eat in front of them. Was it necessary? No, that's why it was a courtesy.

No. I don't care about religious taboos. I see no reason to conform to such.
