Self, way can't you just play along and return the greeting?

Well, self, I don't believe in that shit.

RE: Happy Thanksgiving my fellow American compatriots
Hard to believe I know, but some shops here in Oz are advertising "Black Friday" sales. I'll give 'em black fucking Friday. This is nothing more than yet another attempt by American corporatists to infiltrate the Australian market place, EG Halloween, Father's Day, Valentine's Day, Fourth of July etc.

I do note however that Lincoln said it was to be a national day of "Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens". How does this fit with all the atheists here? Will you ignore the holiday, and go to work as usual? And if you don't, couldn't this be seen as the ultimate atheist hypocrisy by Christians?

BTW... happy Thanksgiving guys. Have a good one. Smile

I work every holiday I can. Overtime pay + holiday pay is too much to pass up.

Thumbsup Happy Thanksgiving! We are changing our traditions this year and staying home! Woohoo!

Aw Christ man. Who cares what the excuse is? It's just a holiday. You telling me you'd rather go to work on Christmas day than take time out with the family?
