P.S. I hope I didn't offend anybody. I am not sure any more what is politically correct now and what is not. Smile

I've got some Lakota half brothers so technically posting the word Thanksgiving on Facebook could be perceived as offensive.

That said...

(For those not familiar with the series, the rhino represents the Army, the dog is the Marines, the eagle is the Air Force, ad the seal is the Navy)

Happy Holidays then Smile

Why? Seriously, what would be offensive about it?

They both live on a reservation in North Dakota, so the idea of celebrating their introduction to the European settlers isn't on the top of their to do list. In my opinion, that makes the original meaning even more important, but then again I'm not constantly looking for something to be offended by. I just wanna eat some damn turkey Tongue

I'm okay with Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. But just to be different, from now on I'm gonna be offended by the term happy holidays Smile

RE: Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Americans
We who are alive today are not responsible for the actions of our forefathers. All of the British Commonwealth, which once included the US, and still does NZ and Australia, live in areas invaded. Including England. Let's not forget The Romans and 1066!

Happy Thanksgiving my American friends.

Are we now to blame Claudius and the Normans for today?

The past is in the past.

I will call him a liar and a dog here and now.

I'm all about continuing with the tradition. But first, turkey and pecan pie.

I'm betting it has to do with the "angry atheists". From Alla's perspective, anyway.

Turkey gravy and pumpkin pie - not together of course.

Drooling

See here they are the bruises some were self-inflicted and some showed up along the way. - JF

I had Japanese wagyu beef and green salad for lunch. Enjoy! Big Grin

I am not a great cook, in fact I hate to cook...the one exception is Thanksgiving dinner...it's my specialty. Even I look forward to it. Wink
