The money is really good but I have no idea what it takes. I was told I will have to choose whether I want to be a maid or do the ironing and then state on which shift I'd prefer to work. I will only have one day off every month, but this is a huge opportunity for me and I can't risk losing it or doing anything wrong.

So, has anyone ever done this? Does anyone know about the job in general? I'm sure hotels don't work in the exact same way everywhere, but I guess a five star hotel must have some standards.
How about shifts? I'm told the night shift is hard, but it pays more. Any experience in that?

Any word of advice is welcome.

I haven't but I went to a Halloween party as one. Angel

Thank you everyone for your input!

It seems the odds are not that favorable after all though. We'll see.

And sorry for taking so long to post this Blush

There are worse things in this world than having a dirty mind and a clean house.

RE: Has anyone worked as a hotel maid?
An ex of mine cleaned hotel rooms (not 5 star) and have also worked in a maid cleaning service company when she was younger and they were instructed to wipe the kettle, mugs, glasses etc with the same skanky rag that they wiped the toilet with. She didn't agree but did it the way she was told. Later in life when she was with me we'd go to hotels and she would NEVER use the kettle, mugs, glasses etc.

Hotel maid? Not sexy. I work at a hotel, trust me. Modern maids wear pants and t-shirts, just like most other service industry jobs.

Fetishized french maid? Now you're talking.
