Hello
My whole family is Catholic. I came out on them a few years ago. They were not happy. They didn't speak to me for a year and a half. They actually KICKED me out of their home when they had invited me over. They are my parents. Slowly we are making progress getting along but I don't think I can ever forgive them fully. I'm very happy to be an Atheist though and given the chance to do it again I wouldn't change a thing.

RE: Hello
wow hardcore catholics ... I don't understand how anyone can do such a thing. Even more so to one's own child... "Not happy" sounds like a little understatement ^^

Anyways welcome to the forum Smile

RE: Hello
Welcome.

It still amazes me how peoples priorities can get so fucked up, your child should be able to tell you anything without being judged.

Yet another ex-Catholic.

In any case, welcome!

Hmmm, I'm thinking about pots and kettles. Dodgy

No pots and kettles here.

If you think that, I think you misunderstood me.

No, just derailing into humor. It struck me funny that a Calvinist would think a Catholic crazy.

You misread.

I thought it was crazy that there is yet another ex-Catholic here.

I didn't call Catholics crazy.
