Kineo! Hug You have been missed.

Great to see you here, man. Stark & Moms keep the vandalism to a minimum but there are a few goofballs still trying to beat the dead horse.

Hmm, well, been learning some more coding. I've found more opportunities to build new tools using Java in my current job, new since last time I was here. Except I was sort of slapped on the hand for using Java when the preferred language for my company is C#. But since it isn't technically what I was hired to do, I doubt they would have considered giving me a Visual Studio license without knowing that I was capable of learning to code. They are considering it now, and so I'll have to learn C#, so that'll be fun.

Is that the sort of exciting story you were looking for? Big Grin

No, I guess probably not lol. But there you have it!

Visual Studio community edition is free, even for commercial projects (there are some restrictions if you're a big company).

ETA: VS Community has the same capabilities as VS Pro.

RE: Hello My Old Friends!
That's true. If I had the ability to install it, I definitely would have- but it has to be approved by IT. I guess for whatever reason they haven't considered that. Maybe I can suggest it before they spend the money!
