Hello from Fort Lauderdale
This is my first post. I live in a suburb of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I have recognized myself as an atheist for about 8 years, but used the word non-believer for 10 years prior. In my 20s I was a charismatic Christian but slowly began questioning my beliefs and finally after 30 years declared myself an atheist.

I would like to make friends with other atheists.

I'm afraid no one else here has a story even remotely similar to yours.

Probably going to be hard to make friends.

Oh, wait, no, the opposite of that.

Welcome. Tampa Bay here.

Check out my now-defunct atheism blog. It's just a blog, no ads, no revenue, no gods.

Welcome.

The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.
