It's just printing and manufacturing right?
If you won't take it,someone else will.
This has nothing to do with morals in my opinion.

Meh, that's a rationalization.

But still, you have a responsibility to take care of yourself and your family. I say go for it.

It would be moot if they print the NIV.

Problem is, the job is working for a company that prints Bibles. That's all they do. They print Bibles. I want the job so I can pay my bills, keep my house, and not starve to death. However, I don't know if I could look myself in the mirror if I take that job. Suggestions?

In this climate, i would take the job. Down the road, if and when things get better, you can look for something else. I work for a motel that puts bibles in the rooms.

So what's the verdict? Have you decided if you're going to take the job? Don't leave us in suspense! Big Grin

Because it's so much 'worse' than other translations that it wouldn't matter?

We don't have much, if any, original text, so they are all reconstructions of varying quality and of indeterminate accuracy.

Yep. However, relatively speaking, the NIV is the most bastardized.
