Haha! I did mention I'm already giving her the best gift ever, my last name. She laughed patted me on the head and said that will cost me.

I like her already. Thumbsup

She is out right now running around to different hobby shops looking for decorations and whatever women say they NEED for a wedding.

Well, we are picking out something we want the other to buy as a gift to the other. Her's she has not said yet, and mine, I want a watch. So far I have picked out is a Casio PRW6000Y-1APRO TREK. I really want a watch that can do it all, ABC and everything else if possible. Now, I do not want to get to much more over $500. Any watch folks on here that can help shed some light, I have always owned cheaper watches, I really enjoy my G-shock explorers, and this will be a major purchase for us, as I know her gift will be a car of something.

Wait.... you get a watch,... she gets a car?...Consider
I'd at least angle for a new CPU. (with ALL the bells and whistles)

Haha!! I did just purchase a surface pro 3 i5. That was for school mainly though, so I can still get a watch. ;-)

Do people still wear watches?
What is it they say? No device has any business showing the time if it isn't synched to an atomic clock somewhere?

Give me your argument in the form of a published paper, and then we can start to talk.

If I ever get married again I'm gonna elope in the Caribbean. I had my big wedding - glad that nightmare is over.

Anywho. Just a thought - I realize getting her a car is a big purchase, but maybe consider getting her something additional for her to open. Like a pair of earrings, or a bracelet, or something engraved. Something she will cherish for years to come - eventually the car will be replaced.

I've always said that my pearl earrings were a wedding gift from my husband - told that lie a thousand times. What we did was use the gift cards to the jewelry store where I was registered for my china and crystal, and I picked out my earrings, after we had been married for months. The owners of the store were retiring and I could no longer order my china through them. Apparently my wedding band, that I bought myself, was my wedding gift. Dodgy

Oh, I didn't know the word "elope". But now I'll have to wait for a chance in order to use it. Dodgy

Some of us wear watches because there is more to them than simply telling time.
