RE: Helpful Hints
A neighbor posted this one on facebook today, I'm not really sure if its true. Consider

if you lock yourself out of your car, but know someone else (your spouse) with the other remote, you can put your phone on speaker and have them unlock it over the phone.

The remote (at least mine) doesn't make noise.

I have a hard time believing it would work over a phone.

I'll have to figure out a way to try this out.

I can't get far enough away from the car to try it out. Lmao.

"Relaying remote entry system signals via telephone might work if the signals were sound-based, but they're not. An RKE system transmits an encrypted data stream to a receiver inside the automobile via an RF (radio frequency) signal, a signal that can’t be effectively relayed via cell phone.”

Had a feeling it sounded too good to be true.

But I did realize how far away I actually need to be for the thing not to work. It's a scary distance.

I had to use a butter knife a bit, but it came out really clean. I put it in the freezer overnight.

RE: Helpful Hints
I almost started a new thread called “Money Matters” but I sometime think talking about finances is more taboo than talking about religion or politics.

I was reading this bloke’s blog and found that he thinks in much the same way I do so I’ll post the hyperlink to an interview http://www.marketwatch.com/story/how-to-...-17?page=1

and his blog page http://www.mrmoneymustache.com

If anyone out there wants to chit chat about retiring early and how we did it, albeit not at 30, give me a shout.
