Hey atheists, are you still against traditional marriage NOW?!
Worth a hearty lol. Maybe a Poe, but either way, hearty lol.

(As this yahoo! question was directed at atheists, this seemed the best subforum to place this in).

This barely relates to this article but I couldn't help but notice three questions below it.

"Is Eddie Vedder Jesus Christ?"

"Why do People Hate Johovah Witnesses?"

"Help With Norse Paganism?"

Just an outsider looking inn.

When indeed?

With a burgeoning population and thousands of kids in need of adoption, the more humane answer lies elsewhere/

Oh no, someone went down the slippery slope toward bestiality again... What the actual fuck does making a baby with (possibly) same-sex parents have to do with fucking your pets? This is the kind of wrong-thinking that many theists have: because their arbitrary definition of marriage means one man and one woman, anything else means you could marry your pet rock, and maybe make babies with it.

Quote: Eugenics. Those sorts of people will be preserved by the secular
sciences while the Christians are allowed to die in their true faith.
Oh no, it's a war on Christians! Potentially healthy babies will somehow cause xians to die. I'm surprised he didn't just call them all Nazis. I can't really see this as a criterion for who parents the babies, though. Probably, it would be the people with enough money to get the services, like in-vitro fertilization.

You ever notice that believing Chrstians are obsessed with all kinds of kinky sexual shit? Sort of like a censor who watches porn all day because "it's his job to protect the innocent". Big Grin

"I thank God I was raised Catholic, so sex will always be dirty."
-John Waters.

I think a lot of things are involved here, too. By making sex forbidden, it becomes more attractive. But if you still aren't doing it (or as much as you'd like, in the way you'd like), maybe it just leads to obsession.

On the other hand, some theists use the justification that they think god is going to punish everybody for the so-called sins of a few, so that's why they think it's their business to police everyone's bedrooms. From an outside perspective, they just look like perverts though.

I was on facebook today and some person was going on about birth control, and said she remained abstinent until marriage because she was "intelligent." This is the kind of fuckery I can't deal with: getting on a moral high horse because your religion tells you not to screw, even if you want to then looking down on people who don't share your hangups. Also several people said if a woman doesn't want kids, she shouldn't have sex. What the fuck. It's 2013, we have ways to not get pregnant now. But these people are so concerned with the idea of sex being immoral and dirty, they'd rather tell people not to screw instead of letting them screw responsibly. Unlike the ancient Jews, there are plenty of Christians, Jews, etc on earth now. There is no need to go forth and multiply, yet people still have trouble with the idea of recreational sex. And that all goes back to religion making people neurotic about sexuality.

My favorites are the people who want to police everyone's sex lives, then say they're for small government. So small, it can fit inside a uterus.

This gave me a bout of the giggles. (I'm still laughing) How the hell does one even answer that? Laugh out load
