Yes, this is what propelled me to the internet to find humans who weren't bent on creating a theocracy.

Here's my favorite quote from your article, ShadowP ...
Quote: ... my parents were part of a subculture called Quiverfull, whose aim is to outbreed everyone for Jesus. I spent my teen years being a political activist. I was taught by every pastor I encountered that it was our job as Christians to outbreed the secularists (anyone not a far-right evangelical Protestant) and take over the government through sheer numbers.

I heard about this concept many years ago and began seeing it happen all around me. I always referred to it as irresponsible overpopulation. My friends call them baby makers.

A new type of thinking is essential if mankind is to survive and move to higher levels. ~ Albert Einstein

I either wasn't well-aware of this phenomenon before this election, or it has had an upswing, or these people are just coming out from behind the bushes, but this shit is TERRIFYING to me.

And people think the Handmaid's Tale could neeeeeever happen here.

Is this for real? Satire maybe? Here's hoping.

Hardly satire, the Quiverfull movement has been around for a while, as have the "culture warriors". I know several such families who self-describe themselves this way. (Including one where the woman was a 4.0 student through college and then got married and went total Quiverfull Mom Who Worships Republican Jesus and now says she no longer believes in climate change and that vaccines are harmful, so she homeschools her children.)

Need to think of a witty signature.

It's also funny how the people that actually follow this stuff always cry out against radical Islamic extremists, yet everything they say sounds almost exactly like it, just in a westernized Christian way.

This sort of puts a frame and context around my experience in the church growing up. It makes complete sense, and it's scary as fuck.
