Peter Fucking Jackson's treatment of Tolkien is cultural graffiti. With excrement.

No, I would have been OK with reasonably close.

How is it unreasonable? Other movies have successfully told the authors' stories.

Dune. The Sci-fi remake was probably as close to the book as you could ever get.

Each HP movie was worse than the last. Pointless plot changes, missing necessary plot elements, overblowing minor shit.

Like LotR, there was some very good casting. Wasted, of course.

"wasted" is the key word, you ask too much out of people, you'll be disappointed every single time

No, there have been many movies of books that were very good. I have not been disappointed every time.

You are all cutting these movies way too much slack.
