Hot dogs 'must be renamed' in Malaysia, says religious government body

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-37700495

Food outlets selling hot dogs in Malaysia have been asked to rename their products or risk being refused halal certification.

Perhaps they could use "wiener"?

But don't tell them the slang meaning!

WTF? since when does a name mean that something is "halal" or not??
Is halal not referring to the method in which the animal is killed?? what's that got to do with what the end product is called?

Fuck Muslims are retarded.

Another classic example of the absolute inanity of religious practices. In the 21st century, it's hard to believe that this is not an old Monty Python script.

At the moment in Australia, there's a debate taking place about the costing of halal certification of foodstuffs, and why people of faiths other than Islam, or atheists, should be expected to bear a part of the costs associated with every product so certified.

If the ragheads want halal, then let them pay for it. Angry

Fun fact:
"Hot dog" began appearing in college magazines in the 1890s. Students at Yale University began to refer to the wagons selling hot sausages in buns outside their dorms as "dog wagons." Kraig said one of the popular stands was dubbed even "The Kennel Club." It didn't take long for the use of the word "dog" to become "hot dog." Barry Popick (a hot dog historian) found the first reference to "hot dogs" in an article published in the October 19, 1895, issue of the Yale Record which referred to folks "contentedly munching on hot dogs."

If we can not laugh when suggesting it maybe "Allah wieners" would become popular.
