If you don't have matching suit jackets to go with them, then I'd say yes.

But IT? You'll be in jeans by the end of the week.

Jeans are for meetings. He'll be in sweats and a wife beater by the end of the week. Tongue

As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.

Will your company have clients coming through the office on a regular basis? Those places tend to lean more toward the business side of business casual. If not, I'd bet they lean toward the casual side of business casual.

Yeah, this thread was a mistake. None of you people agree on much of anything either...just like the so-called experts. 'Business Casual' doesn't exist. I think my best advice was probably "Standards vary country to country, city to city, and industry to industry". I'm gonna just wing it. I'll dress sharp, but leave my tux in it's garment bag, and hope I don't look a douche. But, just for fun, here is some of the advice I've gotten.

You will be slightly over-dressed, but not (awkwardly) so. That's how you want it. If you're regularly dressed slightly nicer than the rest, they will get used to it, and you can feel comfortable in meetings with the mucky-mucks. Tongue

This is perfect I think. If you work somewhere that polo shirts are too casual then you don't work somewhere that's business casual you work somewhere that's business. Polo shirts are like the go to business casual for men.

This thread makes me sad.

Be like Marc Ruben. Make millions, do what you want to do...

Says a guy in pleated, cuffed khakis and a button down shirt. When I want to look all grown up I put on a damn novelty tie. Go figure.
