Not doing anything, but if I go out I'll probably grab some form of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, because I love them so. Heart

Crucifying marshmallow peeps with toothpicks and Popsicle sticks.

I'm not seeing any signs of it over here.

The local shopping/office complex usually has displays up for the major celebrations ... Chinese New Year, Deepavali, christmas and of course, Hari Raya ... but there's a book sale in that area today.

KL has 22 public holidays this year. Not that I get any of those. Angry

Good Friday is a public holiday in Sabah & Sarawak (Borneo) where the christian invasion was more successful but not here on the mainland.

My Sarawakian Catholic flatmate is celebrating by going off to Genting Highlands with two of her Mocktail Muslim© girlfriends (who have also been staying here as of recently) to gamble and drink and do other stuff that young, single girls are discouraged to do.

Dodgy

Happy that I don't live in one of the more strict fundamentalist states.

Big Grin

... like Mississippi or Louisiana.

Laugh out load

My wife's family always makes a reservation for lunch at a local restaurant for the whole tribe. Then we go back to Buddy's and Helen's house for dessert. That's it for my wife and me, though everyone else goes to church earlier in the day too. None of us have any children for baskets of candy or egg hunts.

I usually use holidays as an excuse to cook something a little bit fancier than usual, so there's currently a 60% forecast of lamb stew.

Oh, and chocolate. Easter is my cue to buy All the Chocolate There Is. Drooling

I'm sorry, but your beliefs are much too silly to take seriously. Got anything else we can discuss?

I might go snorkeling and see if I can find some cool sea creatures in the rafts of sargassum that the winds have blown in to shore.

BTW any of you get hints dropped at every turn that the pious will be piousing ™?

Casual conversation and then, “After church tomorrow I’ll be fill in the blank.” Excuse me but I don’t give a fuck, no need for the preamble.

If any of 'em come back from the dead, send 'em to Peep Research.

You are all cordially invited to TTA's theist barbecue.

First course: Fried wings of Aliza with hot sauce (all kosher)

Second course: Roast leg of Shai with mint sauce roast potatoes and collard greens and gravy with a side order of catholic guilt.

Third course: Kingschosen buns served with Calvinist custard and ice-cream.

Fourth course: Yogi bear coffee with liquors / brandy and Cuban cigars.

Oh I got dr strange yesterday on blue ray.

Not sure if it's Easter enough but it might be nice to just watch a movie.

But as if to knock me down, reality came around
And without so much as a mere touch, cut me into little pieces

Same thing I do every year. Rise from the dead.

Mad Girl's Love Song

"I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead;
I lift my lids and all is born again.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)

The stars go waltzing out in blue and red,
And arbitrary blackness gallops in:
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.

I dreamed that you bewitched me into bed
And sung me moon-struck, kissed me quite insane.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)

God topples from the sky, hell's fires fade:
Exit seraphim and Satan's men:
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.

I fancied you'd return the way you said,
But I grow old and I forget your name.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)

I should have loved a thunderbird instead;
At least when spring comes they roar back again.
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead.
(I think I made you up inside my head.)

There is only one really serious philosophical question, and that is suicide. -Camus
