Not only that but if something did create it 'un-naturally' (whatever that means) then the creator must have come about naturally. Therefore it is still part of the natural process. Otherwise you could argue that eating and using tools is unnatural.
I think he is meaning a magical realm, you know, where witches, wizards, genies and fairies live. They can use a spoken word and poof things magically happen without any natural forces. Since it is all magical, you'll never be able to observe it, but if you believe hard enough, then it becomes "real" for you, inside your head. That's the alternative, I think, that he's talking about.
