How do "You" feel when somebody says god bless you?
Actually i'm curious, sorry i posted this here because i feel like iv'e posted to much on the other forms plus this is more of a question.
How do you feel when a person sends you a email and you don't know them and they don't know you but they put inside of the message's ending "God bless you" Do you suddenly feel the need to say you don't believe? but thanks anyways. Maybe i'm just a jerk Evil_monster No i actually don't think i am, i just think that i feel kinda like somebody's assuming i'm christian.
What do you feel like when this happens?

RE: How do "You" feel when somebody says god bless you?
The only time I see "god bless you" in an email it's from this Nigerian widow who needs help moving her money out of the country.

Maybe that's why the phrase makes me instantly disinclined to believe a word they say.

I don't necessarily enjoy it because of its superstitious origins. However, it's just one of those things that I just live with. I wish people didn't say it to me, though.

It causes an eye roll, much like 'have a blessed day'.

At first I thought you were referring to when someone sneezes. Tongue

Well, I can't recall a time when it happened, but to be honest I'm not sure I really care. I also don't think that necessarily means they think I'm a Christian as well.

Oops. I was, too. But my post stands for both. Smile

I must admit...it doesn't bother me. I write off as people trying to be nice, even if they are deluded.

Plus it warns me as to their beliefs...always good to know which ones they are, right?

Like I want to puke.

Atheism is NOT a Religion. It's A Personal Relationship With Reality!
