Before cooking, gently massage with a lengthways stroking action until firm but not rigid.

This will straighten your sausage and ensure that the skin is stretched evenly along the shaft.

Be careful not to apply too much pressure to avoid anything oozing out of the end.

Apply heat and rotate gently rather than turn or twist. Increase the rate of rotation as the meat reaches its required darker colour.

Use a paper towel to remove any excess excretion.

There are ways to prevent curling.

Don't let your sausages on the ice.

Keep the "house" away from them.

Don't let them join a curling club.
