RE: How much do you spend on food in USD?
We average about $2400 a year per person for food. If I had more I would definitely spend more on food. It's a tight budget to buy healthy food on. One thing that cuts costs is that we mostly just drink water except Miss P. She still drinks milk a lot. I imagine I'll have to rearrange my budget as my kids get older. They don't really eat a lot now.

Swing with me a while, we can listen to the birds call, we can keep each other warm.
Swing with me forever, we can count up every flower, we can weather every storm.

I'll second that!

I have no idea what I spend. It cannot be much due to my being a pensioner.

I buy organic too and I also go out to dinner quite frequently. I hate to cook and I like going out to dinner so I do it quite a bit (like 4 times a week or more). I view it as time to socialize with my friends, but it does get expensive.

I look at it as investing in my health. I don't smoke, and never have, and I have maybe 3 beers a year (Mich ultra...so water basically lol). If I did, and calculated that cost.....probably same expenditure. You are what you eat.
