Humanists and Freethinkers clubs?
I am thinking of checking out a Humanist and Freethinkers club that has meetings every so often around my "sort of" local area. I found it on that Meetup.com place and from their page it says they have meetings o discuss humanistic and free thought topics, share stories and watch video clips.

Has anyone else joined in on one of these before? What can you expect when going?

From their pictures though, it seems like it is mostly middle aged or older people and not a whole lot of them Sad

Like maybe...10?

Hope this link works for ya all.

I scan the website every now and again... But I'm too chicken shit, and socially awkward to go to any of them Undecided

Let us know how it goes!

I hope that the world turns, and things get better. But what I hope most of all is that you understand what I mean when I tell you that, even though I do not know you, and even though I may never meet you, laugh with you, cry with you, or kiss you, I love you. With all my heart, I love you. - V for Vendetta

I'm too much of a freethinker to go to a freethinker club.

Shakespeare's Comedy of Errors.... on Donald J. Trump:

He is deformed, crooked, old, and sere,
Ill-fac’d, worse bodied, shapeless every where;
Vicious, ungentle, foolish, blunt, unkind,
Stigmatical in making, worse in mind.

I joined one once it was fun but lasted about 3 more meeting after I discovered it and joined for some reason.. I think there was tension about the topics the guy running it was choosing with some members that caused it to fizzle.

Use grammar my friend! You joined only once it became fun? LOL. I am no Grammar nazi, but I am starting to get into the more complicated English classes, so I want to watch my grammar more now.

Most of the time I'm posting here from my phone, so yeah I can become lazy with the general grammarz

If clubs are your thing give it a try. If it is not a group you want to be a part of it will be just one wasted night. I am fairly anti social so groups are not my thing.

Weird thing is, The meeting is in a Fellowship hall.

Strange place for a group like that to be meeting I would say.

Check the secular student alliance for ones in schools. That how I found the one on my campus. I love the group, lots of nice people.

Also depending on where you live google might be a better tool. I know the tulsa and OKC ones don't advertise on meetup.
