Humans Aren't The Only Ones With Feelings And Compassion
This is an article that I found to be very touching. A great example that we humans are not the only living things that have emotions like love and compassion.

This isn't scientific but I've seen these emotions in my dog as well as other dogs.

This poor pup weeps for his dead owner.

I was impressed by this TED talk on YouTube when I saw it

Here's an excerpt from his book "The Bonobo and the Atheist" : Has militant atheism become a religion? - Can the gap between the religious and the non-religious be bridged, when the debate itself is so attention-getting?

As it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
And I will show you something different from either
Your shadow at morning striding behind you
Or your shadow at evening rising to meet you;
I will show you fear in a handful of dust.

Yes Mathilda

Descartes was wrong about animals being just reflex machines and only humans having Divine souls.

With more relevance to TTA blog Frans de Waal does build a strong case for the emergence of morals found in primates and other animals in terms of social behaviours not requiring any transcendent source & refuting the moral arguments for God.
Especially in his books The Bonobo and the Atheist: In Search of Humanism Among the Primates by de Waal, Frans (18 Mar 2013)
and The Age of Empathy: Nature's Lessons for a Kinder Society by de Waal, Frans (1 Oct 2010)
Our Inner Ape: The Best and Worst of Human Nature by Frans De Waal (4 Sep 2006)
