Methinks that soon TTA will have to have a Climate/Weather section.

Although there might be resistance from the ultra-conservative Climate Section deniers.

Unsure

You could always come and post in the Climate Change Thread Smile. It's been pretty low on traffic lately, which is weird considering how concerned everyone appears to be about Climate these days...

...and given that AGW might be *cough, cough* the preeminent issue of our time and all **cough**.

I could, I suppose. But I doubt anyone wants to hear my opinion.

Plus, that thread's 22 pages long and I ain't got time for that. Too busy stocking my spare rooms with canned food and weapons.

RE: Are You Ready For Hurricane Irma?
I'm in hurricane country. If I'm in the cone I evacuate. Watching people in Texas who stayed so they could monitor their stuff... uh, what the fuck for? I'm going camping far outside the cone, like I have before, if my shit gets trashed I'll find out after the streets are cleared and the power is back on and there's clean water to drink. I don't understand why people ride it out. I'd rather sit by a campfire in the mountains.

RE: Are You Ready For Hurricane Irma?
Pretty much every weather coverage of this hurricane on Youtube has at least one conspiritard going on about how the government controls the weather, Harvey was just a test, and it'll make landfall on September 11th in NYC in order to trigger economic collapse Dodgy

Loonies, loonies I tell ya. I ain't touching that.

I bet I can already guess what your opinion is, based on your avatar...

But please come anyway. We'd appreciate the input from anyone and everyone.

Yup. George got it right. But the solution lies with Douglas Adams

Being on topic seems to be off topic in this thread, but here goes anyway.

The maps I saw this morning show Florida in Irma's sights.

The various models don't yet agree. They still show a range of landfall possibilities, from Florida to the Northeast. One even had Irma slipping into the Gulf of Mexico.
