I Hate to Say it.
I hate to say it, but I'm probably going to vote for Obama. Considering the alternative. Also, anything that pisses off the religious makes me happy and Obama has been doing a great job at that for four years.

Ditto. Plus, the "trickle down" theory hasn't worked at all, mostly because companies are not hiring much in the US, foreign labor is cheaper.

RE: I Hate to Say it.
Vote for the one you want, but vote for the right reasons, not because you want to piss someone else off. Americans have been doing protest votes for ages and all it's given us is a track record resembling the trail an ant takes. The reason we aren't going anywhere is because neither party wants the other to look good in the eyes of the American public.

We need to scrap the whole system. String a few politicians up by piano wires and they'll begin to take notice. Up until then, we'll get more of the same from more of the same.

RE: I Hate to Say it.
Who are the candidates again? From my distant perspective I see this:

Barrack Obama. Tried and true, fairly enlightened on social matters. Also a Wall Street's obedient slave, but he's got a family to look after.

Mitt Romney. Spineless tripletalk climbass opportunist. Empty and fake, will do anything to stay in power, except changes and solutions.

Rick Santorum. Bat-shit crazy fundamentalist horror. But spoke positively of marijuana, probably to lure people who already use it enough to overlook the rest of his agenda.

Ron Paul?
Randall Terry?
Newt Ginrich?
I've got no idea what are these gentlemen about. Are they important?

I agree that we need to scrap the system. That's why when I run in 12 years, I plan to run as a third party. Possibly the National Atheist Party.

I say "mediocracy" over theocracy.

RE: I Hate to Say it.
What's wrong with Obama? I can't understand why would anyone not-vote for him, since you do not have some really good alternative. He is good enough. As for his "Wall Street's obedient slave" title, do you think that ANY, and I mean ANY other candidate would not be their "slave"? They have the money, they own important shit, you listen to the one that owns a lot of things. So, that attribute is not to be taken as bad, since all other would do the same thing as Obama did, concerning Wall Street. That doesn't make him better or worse in this matter, so you should look at other things, the ones that make him different from the other candidates.

It always made me wonder how is it that Americans do not like Obama because he wanted to give them better health care and to give poor people without money or health insurance some basic health insurance. What is wrong there? How can you be so cruel, so cold and so evil to think this is a bad thing? Call him socialist because he wants to help poor people have better health? Completely retarded and out of reality.

Obama needs another 4 years if he is to do something worth mentioning, it is pretty hard to do anything big in just 4 years.

As long as that cunt Romney doesn't get in I couldn't care less who wins.

You're right, everyone in his place has to obey Wall Street. We know that they needed a president to approve their bailout. I only meant... Obama is very probably a decent man and only goes with Wall Street because he wants to keep his family safe. There are ways to get rid of a president, just remember Bill Clinton's little secret under the table. (I wonder if he was caught because he wanted to make trouble with military secrets)

So I've got to ask, if Obama gets re-elected, what kinds of people are likely candidates for his cabinet? Will he finally get to pick his own people and not agents Wall Street?

In USA people still think they are there for the state/nation. To uphold it, defend it and serve it - preferably on the other side of the planet. To be patriotic means in USA to praise and celebrate the nation, whether it deserves or not. But nation doesn't include just nation, but also it's chief symbols of government, military and religion. To be patriotic means to let these folks do whatever they want to do, so they want you to think.

In Europe people already known the state is there to serve them, or is supposed to be. It's supposed to protect us from economic misfortune, provide essential services and keep the rich from becoming too rich and the poor from becoming too poor, because we don't like both of them. In theory and in people's hearts, if not in political practice. But still, majority of my national budget goes to the ministry of social affairs.

Right, every time a person changes, policy changes and doesn't have a chance to work. So which of his projects could show some success in the next term? Did he actually get through with the public healthcare?
