No, they need to step down. Things become cluttered if we have like 5 admins.
We need 1 or 2 max IMO.

How do things become cluttered if there are 5 admins,as opposed 2?

Personally i dont think anyone needs to step down but adding one or 2 people who are CLEARLY here quite often; who've proven themselves fair minded.
Cause what if the 2 new people need a day off? The less active can then step up.

When I want your opinion I'll read your entrails.

Well, maybe it was a tad premature. Consider

Why?
Is this not a thread discussing admin activity or lack thereof?
In light of that we need to add one or 2 reliable people.
Its not premature..... Its obviously an honest need.

Because 5 people have 5 different opinions as opposed to 2 different opinions or just one opinion.
You might as well keep the inactive admins because so little would be done due to being bogged down by bureaucracy. And then if you say "well if you keep the inactive ones it will be like there are three" which brings the question "so why not just have 3?".

Look, I get that they're people and everyone here knows them and stuff and nobody wants to be the asshole that asked their 'friends' to step down. BUT they're totally inactive members of this forum. They're not right for the job and they need to step down as admins. If they truly wanted what was best for the forum they would step down.

DLJ ain't fool enough. Chas wielded the banhammer for a bit but I think voluntarily relinquished it when he felt it was cramping his style (he could easily rewield it 'cause it actually accentuates instead of cramping his style). And I'd miss the pretty boy as she gradually disappears into the void that comes with the banhammer.

I once suggested that the banhammerers remain anonymous so they could maintain their forum persona but DeepThought pointed out that all that would accomplish is that forum complaints end up with him or Seth. Bad idea.

I think sharing the banhammer amongst all of the mods, supermods, and admins along with reverting to Stark's original 3 rules ("No porn/nudity, no spam, no sockpuppets") and adding "no douchebags" would go a long way to addressing this recurring issue.

Teal is a good start. Xanadu, Glaucous or even Smaragdine would be better though. They already have pink and lilac, and sky blue and normal blue, why not go for even more complex hues?

Granted Eburnean and Sarcoline might not appropriate. I have a T-shirt in Amaranth but it shrunk in the wash.

Because 5 people have 5 different opinions as opposed to 2 different opinions or just one opinion.

5-10 different opinions but each one fully empowered to wield the banhammer without requiring a consensus could work. If they fuck up, they drop the banhammer and the decision is reversed by consensus.
